Eating great is the answer to victory for just about any athlete, but it’s doubly necessary for runners. Runners use up a lot of calories during their training sessions, so they need to have quality food items to reinstate what they’ve lost and to restore their broken down muscle tissues. Runners primarily require carbohydrates, that’s why you would usually learn of runners performing a “carbo-load” right before a big race.
